The SMI-175 Series is a robust, hurricane-resistant window wall solution designed for high-performance coastal applications. Distinguished by its “non-weep” wet seal design, it provides an exceptional barrier against water, wind, and cold air infiltration. The system is constructed using heavy-walled aluminum extrusions, which allow it to support larger glass panels and withstand extreme wind loads with minimal structural support, offering a cleaner aesthetic with fewer mullion interruptions.
Key Advantages
Superior Weather Protection: The wet-seal, non-weep construction eliminates common water intrusion points found in traditional weeped systems.
Simplified Fabrication: Engineered with only four primary extrusions, the system significantly reduces fabrication complexity.
Versatile Installation: The screw spline assembly method enables off-site pre-glazing, allowing glaziers to ship completed units to the job site for faster installation.
Customizable Geometry: Capable of stretch-forming for curved or radius designs, as well as segmented radius configurations.
